Yemeni junior team beats Pakistan by five to continue leading group

On Friday, November 28, 2025, the Yemeni junior national team scored a major victory over their Pakistani counterpart, 5-1, in the Junior Asian Cup qualifiers.
The Yemeni team took control of the course of the match from the first minutes, and its players managed to score five goals distributed among several players, while the Pakistani team was content to score just one goal.
Bashir Silan scored two goals for the Yemen national team in the 18th and 82nd minutes, Ali Shafiq scored a goal in the 20th minute, while Fahd Al-Faqih scored two more goals in the 25th and 70th minutes.
With this victory, the Yemeni junior team strengthened its lead in the group with a full score and 12 points, moving closer to securing the qualification ticket for the continental final.
The national team will conclude its qualifying campaign with a decisive match against the Laos national team on Sunday, November 30, in a showdown that could officially qualify it with a full score.
