Unknown people burn lawyer’s car in Taiz city

Unidentified people set fire to a lawyer’s car in the southwestern Yemeni city of Taiz, in the second incident involving lawyers in the city.

Press sources report that unknown persons burned, on the evening of Saturday December 13, 2025, the car of lawyer Mouammar Al-Marouni, while it was parked near his house in the Al-Mu’assal district, south of the city.

The sources said the fire completely consumed the car, despite attempts by locals to douse the fire with primitive methods.

According to local sources, a neighborhood surveillance camera showed a masked person pouring a liquid substance on the car before setting it on fire.

Last February, unidentified people set fire to the car of Judge Munir Al-Tayyar at the Taiz Court of Appeal, while it was parked in front of his house in the Al-Dabwa neighborhood in the center of Taiz city.
