A member of the Hadhramaut Tribes Authority, Sheikh Sultan Al-Tamimi, said that the “Shield of the Homeland” forces were stationed in the Hadhramaut desert in eastern Yemen, particularly in the border areas with Saudi Arabia in Al-Abr and Al-Khasha’a, noting that this is within the framework of the agreed security arrangements.
Al-Tamimi pointed out that forces coming from outside Hadhramaut governorate withdrew from the sites of oil companies and handed over these sites to the company protection force composed of the population of Hadhramaut governorate, under the supervision of the Second Military District, according to what was reported by the “Al-Mashhad” website.
He confirmed that oil companies in the Hadaba region of Hadhramaut have resumed their work normally after the companies’ protection forces took over the task of securing the oil sites.
Al-Tamimi explained that these measures are part of the demands of the population of Hadhramaut and the desire of the tribal authorities to allow local cadres and forces to assume the responsibilities of protecting wealth and installations within the governorate.
He stressed that forces from outside the Hadhramaut governorate are still stationed in Wadi Hadhramaut.
