The launch of the Gulf Cup for Juniors in Qatar

Today, Saturday September 20, 2025, the competitions of the Gulf Cup U-17 Football Championship will begin in the State of Qatar, in its first edition, which will continue until October 3, 2025, with the participation of eight Gulf teams.

The Yemeni team is participating in the first group, which includes teams from Qatar, Emirates and Oman, while the second group includes teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq.

The team will begin their journey by facing the host team, the Qatari team, on Sunday at 6 p.m. Yemen time.

According to the organizing committee, the tournament aims to showcase emerging football talents in the Arabian Gulf region, as it is being held for the first time under the umbrella of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation.

Federation Secretary General Jassim Al-Rumaihi highlighted the importance of this tournament, noting that it is part of the Federation’s commitment to nurturing and supporting young football talents and improving the future of Gulf football.
