Sanaa.. Creation of a zakat court and appointment of a president for it

The president of the Supreme Judicial Council in Sanaa issued a decision establishing a zakat court.
Pursuant to Resolution No. (1) of 1447 AH, the Zakat Court of First Instance was established in the Capital Secretariat.
The decision stated that the court would be competent to examine and decide all zakat-related cases that fall within the jurisdiction of the capital municipality.
He also ruled that the court should examine and decide cases related to major zakat taxpayers in all governorates of the Republic.
The decision confirms that the Public Funds First Instance Court of the Capital Secretariat will continue to receive and review zakat cases until the zakat court begins its work.
It also upheld the jurisdiction of the Public Funds Division of the Capital Secretariat to rule on appeals against decisions made by this court.

In accordance with Resolution No. (2) of 1447 AH issued by the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Amal Al-Jalal was appointed President of the Zakat Court of First Instance at the Capital Secretariat.
