Sanaa.. Central Bank stops operating money transfer network and four foreign exchange facilities

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Central Bank of Sanaa ceased operating a money transfer network and four foreign exchange facilities.

In two separate circulars sent to the Sanaa Foreign Exchange Association to local money transfer networks, foreign exchange establishments and companies, the first stressed the need to implement the Central Bank’s directives to stop dealing with the Al-Hatar Express network, while continuing to deal with the Al-Hatar exchange company, due to its violation of the Central Bank’s instructions.

The second circular indicated the suspension of transactions with the establishments of Bin Shammar Exchange, Mamoon Exchange, Sama Exchange and Bahrain Exchange Forum, due to their violation of the instructions of the Central Bank.

Since the beginning of November, the Central Bank has stopped dealing with three companies and 12 exchange centers, in addition to three money transfer networks, while ordering the resumption of transactions with seven exchange centers and three money transfer networks.
