“Photos”: Frost hits parts of the highlands and damages agricultural crops

Frost hit parts of mountainous areas north of Yemen’s western highlands last night.
On Monday morning, December 1, 2025, activists posted photos on social media showing snow forming in a number of mountainous regions in Saada, Sanaa, Amran and Dhamar governorates.
The images showed light snow formation in Saada governorate and in the districts of Arhab in Sanaa, Bani Sarim in Amran and Al-Hada in Dhamar.
The frost caused serious damage to agricultural crops, especially the qat plant.
