Reports circulating in local media indicate that agreements reached between the Saudi-Emirati delegation and the Southern Transitional Council have resulted in an agreement regarding the forces that will be present in the Hadramawt and Al-Mahra governorates in eastern Yemen.

It was reported that the agreement provides for the withdrawal of the transitional forces from the two governorates, which do not fall under their jurisdiction, with security and military tasks being assumed by the elite Hadhrami forces, with the participation of the Hadramawt protection forces affiliated to Amr bin Habrish and the Homeland Shield forces.

Some sources indicated that the National Shield Forces, trained by Saudi Arabia, will become the forces of the First Military Region, based in Seiyun in the Hadramaut Valley, while security tasks will be entrusted to the Elite Hadramawt Forces, within which the formations of the Hadramawt Protection Forces will be integrated.

According to information circulating, an agreement will be concluded to redeploy the forces and determine their theater of operations.

The sources stressed that the agreement reached also includes a political aspect linked to the Presidential Council and the government.
