Meteorology warns of frosts in highlands and warns of marine turbulence in Bab al-Mandab

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold to very cold weather overnight and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al Bayda and the heights of Al Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, west of Al Jawf and south of Ma’rib, where temperatures are expected to vary between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius, and it is not excluded that a light frost occurs in parts of these governorates.

Cold weather is also expected in the highlands of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Al Mahwit and Hajjah governorates.

The center warned citizens in the above-mentioned highlands of cold and extreme cold, especially the elderly, children, sick people and workers during the night and early morning.

He advised farmers to take appropriate measures to protect their crops and crops from damage, and also warned those traveling to cold areas of the need to take necessary precautions to avoid cold shock.

He also warned sailors, fishermen and ship captains of the turbulent sea and high waves south of the west coast and Bab al-Mandab.
