Lawyer Abdul Majeed Sabra, detained in Sanaa for two months, expressed his dissatisfaction with the position of the Yemeni Bar regarding the issue of his arrest.

This is what emerges from a message from his “brother” Walid Sabra on Facebook, in which he confirms that his brother called him on the morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025 to ask him the position of the Bar Association.

Walid Sabra called on the competent authorities to immediately and unconditionally release his brother, lawyer Abdel Majeed Sabra, who is still in detention without any clear legal justification, stressing that his brother has not committed any crime other than the exercise of his duty as a lawyer towards his clients.

Walid Sabra said his detained brother asked him to inform lawyer Saqr Al-Samawi and his colleagues at the bar: “Is he still in my thoughts or has he become one of the forgotten ones in the detention centers?” Adding that he has been waiting for more than two months for a glimmer of hope of release, and that there is nothing new.

He stressed that his brother had asked him to inform his colleagues of the need to present a brief to the Attorney General and to move his file, asking: Why this hesitation?!

Walid Sabra added that he asked him about the visit and he told him: “Don’t believe any promises… I asked them to allow the visit, and they said we were denied the visit.”
