Junior national team begins 2026 Asian qualifiers with valuable victory against Kyrgyzstan

Our junior national team began its campaign in the 2026 Asian Cup qualifiers, with a valuable victory over its Kyrgyz counterpart 2 goals to 0.

Although the first half ended in a goalless draw, the team managed to impose its rhythm during the second half, as player Saber Sanad opened the scoring in the 56th minute, before Silan Bashir increased the score with a second goal three minutes before the end of the match.

With this victory, our team gained the first three points of its total, with a view to facing Guam next Monday, within the framework of the competitions of the second group, which also includes the following teams: Laos, Guam, Cambodia and Pakistan.

The match took place at the Dolin Omar Zakov Stadium in the capital, Bishkek.

Our team will continue its journey by facing Cambodia on the 26th of this month, then Pakistan on the 28th, and will conclude its matches by meeting Laos on the 30th, in the hope of clinching the qualification card for the 2026 Junior Asian Cup final.

The technical meeting of the tournament was held on Friday in Bishkek, with the participation of representatives of the Asian Confederation and participating delegations, where the organizational arrangements were reviewed and the team kits were approved, with emphasis on the absence of press conferences for coaches during the qualification period.
