The judges of the batch (23) filed a complaint with the Minister of Finance in Sanaa to the President of the Supreme Political Council.

The 42 judges explained that their appointment to the judiciary was made by Republican Decree No. (16) of 1446 AH, dated August 21, 2024, with the rank of prosecutor (B).

They stressed that it is known, legally and legally, that the issuance of the decision entails all financial charges from the date of its issuance, but they did not find or notice this from the Ministry of Finance represented by its minister, despite the continuous follow-ups and successive memorandums between the Superior Council of the Judiciary and the Ministry of Finance.

They stressed that the legal texts are clear and do not require any explanation or interpretation, because they confirm that “the judiciary is financially and administratively independent”.

They noted that if there are disagreements between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice, according to what the Minister of Finance said, it is a weak excuse that has nothing to do with the truth and does not prevent the Ministry of Finance from paying the full financial dues, like their former colleagues.

They called on the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council to question the Minister of Finance and hold him accountable, and to force the Ministry of Finance to disburse its financial debts from the date of the decision, urgently and continuously, without any restrictions or conditions, with the Minister of Finance taking full responsibility for any negligence or delay, because this doubles the suffering of judges day after day, in addition to the violation of the Constitution and the law.
