Sanaa security authorities referred journalist Muhammad Al-Mayahi to the specialized criminal prosecution in the capital Sanaa.

Lawyer Abdul Majeed Sabra said that he and lawyer Ammar Al-Ahdal attended the investigation today, Monday, January 13, 2025, together with journalist Muhammad Al-Mayahi at the Specialized Criminal Prosecutor’s Office in Sanaa.

Lawyer Sabra said the investigating prosecutor decided to take his case to the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Press and Publications Court because he is a journalist and the charges against him are related to his work as a journalist who, according to a report from the General Administration of Police Intelligence, publishes inflammatory articles against the state and its political system.

From this it is clear that Al-Mayahi was not arrested by the security and intelligence services, but rather by the police intelligence services of the Ministry of Interior.
