Iran’s Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, confirmed that the facilities bombed by Israel are not accessible and that there is no uranium enrichment at present.

Gharibabadi said during his speech at the international conference “International Law Under Attack, Aggression and Defense,” held this Sunday morning, that “all Iranian nuclear facilities attacked were under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

He added: “At this stage, and taking into account the attacks that have occurred, there is no enrichment. »

He stressed that “the history of the International Atomic Energy Agency has not seen the targeting of nuclear facilities belonging to a member state,” adding that “all facilities that were attacked in Iran were subject to the strictest forms of monitoring by the agency.”

He added: “Many issues, including enrichment activities, are subject to the International Agency’s safeguards procedures, and there are explicit decisions prohibiting and condemning any attack on nuclear facilities. »

He pointed out that “the attacks that have targeted Iran have practically targeted enrichment facilities, and that Tehran has not allowed the agency access to them because it does not currently have the possibility of entering certain sites due to unused materials and the possibility of security risks”, stressing that “visiting these sites is not possible for security reasons.”

Regarding the proposed draft resolution against Iran at the Board of Governors, Gharibabadi said: “The parties supporting the project demand a halt to enrichment and prevent Iran from rebuilding its facilities, in addition to their demand to return to the negotiating table. » Stressing that “these countries seek to exert greater pressure on Iran, even if Tehran has provided the agency with basic and reliable information”.

He noted that “although he has been subjected to attacks, he still faces Israeli accusations that he is seeking to build a nuclear weapon,” calling the allegations “ridiculous.”

He stressed that Israel itself has the largest arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, but continues to exert pressure on Iran.
