The price of silver on the stock market recorded a new record yesterday, Friday, surpassing $65 per ounce for the first time in history, according to trading data.
Yesterday Friday at exactly 5:28 p.m. Moscow time, silver futures for March increased by 0.67% from the previous closing price, reaching $65.028 per ounce. This is the first time that the price has exceeded the $65 mark, according to the Russia Today website.
During the week, global silver prices recorded an unprecedented rise, with the white metal yesterday surpassing the $60 per ounce mark in spot trading for the first time in its history, driven by tight global supplies and strong industrial demand.
Since the start of 2025, silver prices have risen from around $28.9 per ounce in January to over $60 in December, achieving an increase of more than 108% in less than a year, the largest annual rise in the metal’s history.
