Associations of retirees and deportees from the South return to the forefront by announcing a sit-in in Aden

Yamanat – Aden
Associations of retired military, military, and laid-off civilians in the South have returned to the forefront, after declining over the past decade.
The presidency of the Supreme Coordination Council called on associations of forcibly demobilized retirees (military, security forces, civilians) and deported and separated people (military, security forces, civilians) to sit in front of the gate of the presidential palace in Al-Ma’ashiq in Aden, southern Yemen.
The Commission set the date of the sit-in for the morning of November 27, 2025, calling on all political and societal components, all unions, federations, associations, parties, political forces, all civil servants (civil and military), the Southern Resistance and all the masses of the South (women, men, young and old) to mobilize widely to obtain all rights, in particular salaries delayed for 21 months.
The authority explained in a statement that the salary delays concern five months of the current year 2025 and 16 months of previous years, stressing that it is determined to save patients in the south from starvation.
The statement confirmed that the Authority and its members have been patient in the face of hunger and endured the sufferings of life, indicating that they will not endure and be patient with their rights after today.
The statement explained that the Commission has vowed to remove rights, whatever the cost, as long as the authorities of the Presidential Council, the government and all institutions plunder and steal all the country’s resources, while civil servants receive their monthly salaries and subsistence regularly, in huge sums and hard currencies.
The statement accuses the authorities of ignoring civil servants and southerners of all categories, including retirees, military and civilian deportees, security forces and teachers.
