Businessman Yasser Musleh Al-Lawzi decided to leave for Maran, in Yemen’s far north Saada governorate, after he was desperate for justice and the doors were closed in his face.

Al-Lawzi states on his Facebook account: Since 2021, our money has been seized to the tune of approximately 9 billion Yemeni riyals, and this has turned into accumulated damage: cessation of business, closure of businesses, tarnishing of our reputation and losses now exceeding 60 billion Yemeni riyals.

He added: We demanded our rights and followed the known paths, but the voices of the oppressed were no longer heard and found no response from the official authorities.

He pointed out that Mr. Abdul Malik’s entourage had closed doors and it had become very difficult to reach or complain to him, indicating that he could no longer raise his voice or clarify his grievances through official or other channels.

Al-Lawzi announced that he had decided to go to the shrine of Martyr Hussein Al-Houthi in Maran, stressing that his planned departure constitutes neither an escalation nor a departure from peace, but rather to present his complaint before God, and before the symbolism of justice and truth, on the injustice inflicted on him by his companions and those entrusted with governance by Mr. Abdul Malik, and so that he can hear it, prove a righteous position and provide justice to the oppressed.

He emphasized that he does not seek conflict or chaos, but rather is a person who demands fairness and justice.

Al-Lawzi stressed that if Mr. Abdul-Malik saw that he only deserved to return what was taken from him, he would be satisfied with his decision and would say: “We imitated God in our affairs, and we were satisfied with what you decided, and we entrusted our affairs to God. If we told him otherwise, he would say – without noise or escalation –: “God is enough for us, and He is the best to manage affairs”, and would leave the country for good.

Al-Lawzi said his peaceful movement will be fully documented through live streaming on social media platforms, to ensure transparency, highlight the peaceful nature of the movement and the demand for fairness.

He called on all those who know him, and all those who will move with him or accompany him, to document the movement through photography, to bear witness to his calmness and to the fact that the sound arrived safely and clearly.

He set Saturday, December 20, 2025 as the date of his travel from Gula Ajeeb in the governorate of Amran to Marran in the governorate of Saada, to arrive at the sanctuary of the martyr Hussein al-Houthi, founder of the Ansar Allah group.
