The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecast cold to very cold weather overnight and early morning in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Al Bayda governorates, as well as the mountainous highlands of Lahj, Al Dhalea, Ibb and West Al Jawf governorates.

The center also expects cold weather in the highlands of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, southern Ma’rib, Abyan, Taiz, Raymah and Al Mahwit governorates.

The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children and workers, during the night and early morning in the aforementioned governorates and highlands, of the cold and extremely cold weather.

He warned farmers in mountainous areas against the effects of cold weather, calling on them to take necessary measures to protect their crops.

He also called on those traveling to cold areas to take necessary precautions to avoid thermal shock.
