Meteorology warns of frost formation in parts of highlands

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold to very cold weather overnight and early morning in the governorates of (Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda and Al-Dhalea Heights, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, West Al-Jawf and South Ma’rib).

The center explained that minimum temperatures will generally be below normal, between (00 and 04 degrees Celsius), and it is not excluded that a light “fiscal” frost will occur in parts of the aforementioned areas.

The center also expects cold weather in the highlands of the governorates of (Hadhramaout, Shabwa, Taiz, Raymah, Al Mahwit and Hajjah).

The center warned citizens in the above-mentioned highlands of cold and extreme cold, especially the elderly, children, sick people and workers during the night and early morning.

He advised farmers to take appropriate measures to protect their crops and crops from damage.

He also warned those traveling to cold areas of the need to take necessary precautions to avoid thermal shock.

The center warned sailors, fishermen and ship captains of turbulent seas and high waves south of the west coast and Bab al-Mandab.
