Meteorology: Very cold to relatively cold weather and rough seas south of the west coast

The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold to very cold weather overnight and early morning in the governorates of (Saada, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda and Al-Dhalea Heights, Lahj, Abyan and Ibb).

Relatively cool to cold weather is also expected in the highlands of (Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Taiz, Shabwa, Hadramaut and parts of Al-Jawf and Mar’ib) governorates.

The center expects marine turbulence south of the west coast and at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, where wind speeds are expected to reach 30 knots.

The Center warned citizens of the above-mentioned highlands, or those traveling there, of the extremely cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick and workers during the night and early morning.

He also advised farmers to take necessary measures to protect their crops from damage.

The center warned sailors, fishermen and ship captains on the southern west coast and the Bab al-Mandab entrance of high waves and sea turbulence.
