Weather expert expects rain of varying intensity in some areas

Meteorological expert Jamil Al-Hajj expects that on Friday, December 12, 2025, some areas will experience variable rain, mostly light, over parts of northern Hodeidah and Hajjah, and over the sea off the coast of Hajjah and northern Hodeidah.

Al-Hajj indicated, through his Facebook account, the possibility of rains falling on the coasts and on the sea, and that it could extend to various areas of Al-Hudaydah, west of Hajjah, east of Al-Mahwit, southwest of Sanaa governorate, west of Dhamar, Ibb and Al-Dhalea, and could reach some areas east of Taiz.

He highlighted the possibility of moderate rains in limited areas of Ibb and western Dhamar, and possibly light to moderate rains in some villages southwest of Sanaa and Al Mahwit, in addition to light rains in parts of Aden, Al Mahra, Hadramaut, Abyan and Shabwa governorates, especially on or off the coasts. It could arrive as light drizzle west of Sanaa city or in the surrounding countryside.

Scattered, mainly light rain or drizzle is also expected, with clouds extending over areas of the coastal plains and adjacent highlands, then extending inland.

Al-Hajj expects rain chances to improve on Saturday in parts of Ibb and Al-Dhalea, to between moderate and relatively heavy, while light to moderate in various parts of Tihama Heights, indicating the possibility of changes in other areas.
