Yemen – Ma’rib
The Appeal Prosecution Office in Ma’rib governorate, northeastern Yemen, announced the burial of 15 unidentified bodies in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The prosecution indicated that the bodies had been deposited in the morgue of the military hospital for varying periods of time, some of which exceeded five years, stressing that they were buried after completing all official procedures, including documentation of their data and local and international numbers registered with the hospital and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The prosecution explained that the buried bodies included 12 bodies of Yemeni citizens and 3 bodies of people of foreign nationality, attributing the reason for the burial to the pressures faced by hospitals due to the accumulation of bodies in storage refrigerators and their maximum capacity.
