British Trade Authority warns of mysterious ship accident off Somali coast

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said on Monday, November 3, 2025, that it had received a report that people were attempting to board a ship in the Gulf of Aden, east of the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

The authority said in its statement that the captain reported that four unauthorized people attempted to board his vessel.

The authority added: “All crew members are well and are on their way to the next port of arrival, while authorities investigate the accident. »

The British Authority has advised ships to be careful when passing through the area.
