Fidan said at the press conference that the participating countries discussed a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid, expressing “a common opinion of not wanting the genocide to start again”, and stressing that the participating countries “will do whatever it takes” to achieve this.
The Turkish minister criticized Israel’s ceasefire violations, saying: “Israel constantly violates the ceasefire.” He also accused it of failing to fulfill its humanitarian aid obligations and revealed that “Israel has killed more than 200 Palestinians since the ceasefire agreement.”
Fidan addressed the issue of the administration of Gaza, noting that “Hamas is ready to hand over the administration of Gaza to a committee formed by the Palestinians.” He also addressed the issue of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, emphasizing “the importance of international cooperation in this context” and that “Gaza must recover to ensure the security of the Palestinians.”
He expressed hope that “the work related to Palestinian reconciliation will bear fruit,” believing that “unity and unity among Palestinians will increase the strength of Palestinian representation before the international community.”
Regarding the peace force that will be deployed in the Gaza Strip, Fidan explained that “discussions continue regarding sending a UN force to Gaza and the countries concerned affirm that they will participate in accordance with their laws”, stressing that his country “will make the decision regarding participation in the international stability force in Gaza based on its definition and standards.”
It is worth noting that the meeting included Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Indonesia, while his Egyptian counterpart was absent as he was busy with an international meeting in his country.
