Israeli Defense Minister Israel Kat said on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, that Israel will not stop until the disarmament of Hamas from the Gaza Strip is completed, emphasizing that Israeli policy in the Strip is clear.

The Israeli Defense Minister said in his statements: “We are committed to returning all the bodies of the detainees from the Gaza Strip, and we will continue to work until the mission is accomplished, and we will not stop until the disarmament of Hamas from the Gaza Strip is completed. »

Katz added: “Israel’s policy in Gaza is clear: the IDF strives to destroy the tunnels and eliminate Hamas terrorists without any restrictions in the yellow zone under our control. The objective, in addition to returning all the dead hostages, is to disarm Hamas and disarm Gaza.

This comes as the Israeli army announced the recovery of the body of the captured soldier, Staff Sergeant Itai Chen (19), after analysis at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in cooperation with the police and the military rabbinate.

The Israeli military added that it was “ready to continue implementing the agreement,” calling on Hamas to “fulfill its role in the agreement and make the necessary efforts to return the bodies of all hostages to their families and bury them with dignity.”

According to Channel 12’s Israeli correspondent, Itai Chen is considered the last prisoner of American nationality, besides the Israeli one whose body was returned from the Gaza Strip.
