On the evening of Thursday, November 6, 2025, Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes on several towns in southern Lebanon, targeting sites they claimed belonged to Hezbollah, as Lebanese authorities described the attacks as “a crime in their own right.”

The Israeli military said in a statement Thursday evening that it had “ended a series of successful strikes against infrastructure and weapons depots belonging to the Radwan unit in southern Lebanon,” adding that Hezbollah “continues its attempts to rebuild its military capabilities in the region with the aim of harming Israel.”

The raids follow a broad evacuation warning to residents of the towns of Tayr Dibba, Al-Tayba, Ayta Al-Jabal and Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, the largest evacuation since the November 2024 ceasefire.

The Israeli army spokesperson confirmed that the attacks “aim to prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing its military activity in these areas.”

On the other hand, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said the Israeli bombings constituted “a blatant aggression and a full-fledged crime against Lebanese sovereignty and civilians.”

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that one person was injured in a preliminary toll, after one person was killed and eight others injured this morning during an Israeli raid on the Tire district.

The National News Agency also reported that the raids targeted buildings in Tayr Dibba, Taibe, Ayta al-Jabal and Zawtar al-Sharqiya, amid intense Israeli drone flights over Beirut and its southern suburbs.

The strikes caused large explosions and fires, with thick plumes of smoke rising in the targeted areas.
