British network ‘GiveMeSport’ has revealed its latest ranking of the world’s best strikers for the current period, with French star Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid’s Spanish striker, topping the list, ahead of an elite group of the most prominent names in world football.
In a remarkable surprise, Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, the English player of Manchester City, ranked fourteenth in the ranking, ahead of big names in the world of football, such as the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the Saudi striker of Al-Nasr, and the Portuguese striker Joao Felix, the Chelsea player.
The network reported that Marmoush has become one of Egypt’s hottest rising stars, as he had already attracted interest from Liverpool FC, to be a potential successor to star Mohamed Salah, before Manchester City managed to sign him from Eintracht Frankfurt during the last winter transfer window.
The report adds that City’s technical director Pep Guardiola described Marmoush as a “new scoring machine”, pointing out that it was not only his remarkable numbers that excited the club’s supporters, but also his innovative style of play, as he often competes as a second striker, which is a constant headache for defenders in the Premier League.
Marmoush has performed at excellent levels since his arrival in the English Premier League, where he was able to establish himself in the Manchester City team, amid continuous praise from the manager and the British media for his technical and striking performances.
