Manchester City beat Villarreal 2-0 in Champions League

The Manchester City team won with a precious victory in the stadium of its host, Villarreal, in Spain (2-0), during the match which brought them together, Tuesday evening, October 21, 2025, in the third round of the championship phase of the European Champions League.

Norwegian star Erling Haaland scored the English team’s first goal early on, 17 minutes after the starting whistle. Then his Portuguese colleague Bernardo Silva added the second goal in the 40th minute of the first half.

The Manchester City team thus won its second victory after the first victory against Naples Avitali with two unanswered goals, compared to a draw against Monaco (2-2) in the second round, bringing its score to 7 points and moving up to fifth place in the general ranking.

On the other hand, the Villarreal team suffered its second defeat after the first against the English club Tottenham (1-0), compared to the draw against the Italian Juventus (2-2) in the second round, stopping its score at one point and occupying thirtieth place in the ranking.
