The Spanish team Barcelona won a large victory over their Greek guest, Olympiacos, with a score of (6-1), during the match which brought them together, Tuesday evening, October 21, 2025, in the third round of the group stage of the European Champions League.
Barcelona presented a remarkable offensive performance, led by the Spaniard Fermin Lopez, who scored three hat-tricks in a few minutes (7, 39, 76), while the Englishman Marcus Rashford scored two goals in two minutes (74, 80) and the Spaniard Lamine Jamal scored the third goal from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.
As for Olympiacos’ only goal, it was scored by Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi from the penalty spot in the 54th minute, before his Argentinian teammate Santiago Haze was sent off two minutes later. The visiting team therefore finished the match with ten players at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.
With this victory, Barcelona increased their score to 6 points, securing their second victory in the competition after their victory against Newcastle United and their defeat against Paris Saint-Germain, temporarily placing themselves at the top of the table on goal difference against Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Arsenal and Karabakh, before finishing the matches of the round.
On the other hand, Olympiacos, returning to the Champions League after an absence since the 2020-2021 season, suffered its first defeat after a goalless draw against Paphos of Cyprus and its defeat against Arsenal with two unanswered goals in the last two rounds, leaving its score frozen at one point from thirty-second place.
