Aden port source reveals that maritime traffic in the port has stopped

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, activists circulated on social media the news of the halt to maritime traffic in the port of Aden, in southern Yemen.

For its part, a source at the port denied the validity of what circulated, stressing that the port is operating at full capacity and at maximum activity, because all the port’s berths are operating at full capacity, according to what press sources reported.

The source reassured traders and importers of the continued activity of the port, stressing that the port still represents a safe and reliable gateway for trade.
