Press sources reported that Saudi Arabia evacuated the coalition camp west of Aden, southern Yemen, its forces and various administrative mechanisms and offices, alongside the continued transfer of National Shield forces from Lahj and Abyan governorates.
The sources indicated that Saudi forces and vehicles, as well as various administrative equipment, were transferred to the Al-Abr region in the Hadhramaut desert in eastern Yemen, according to the website of the “Aden Al-Ghad” newspaper.
In another context, the National Shield Forces, trained by Saudi Arabia, continue to transfer their personnel and equipment from Lahj and Abyan governorates, adjacent to Aden governorate.
Activists on social media reported over the past two days that vehicles belonging to the National Shield Forces were still heading towards Hadhramaut governorate.
According to circulating information, these forces, led by Salafist elements, will be stationed in the governorates of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra.
It was also reported that agreements had been reached between Saudi Arabia and the Southern Transitional Council, including the deployment of the National Shield Forces in the two governorates, as well as the Elite Hadhrami Forces and the Hadhramawt Protection Forces affiliated to Amr bin Habrish.
