13 people were killed on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in an Israeli bombardment targeting the Ain al-Hilweh camp, near the town of Sidon, in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an occupation drone targeted a vehicle near the Khaled bin Al-Walid Mosque, on “Al-Tahtani Street”, inside the Ain al-Hilweh camp.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Health Ministry said an Israeli raid on the Ain al-Hilweh camp in the city of Sidon resulted in the deaths of 13 people and dozens of injuries.
For its part, the Israeli army released a video clip on Tuesday evening which, according to it, documents the targeting of “Hamas members” inside the movement’s training complex in southern Lebanon. The army explained in a statement that it had targeted armed men working inside a training complex in the Ain al-Hilweh region.

Hamas denied what it called “allegations” by the Israeli military that it targeted “a training complex belonging to the movement,” stressing that the allegations are nothing more than “slander and lies” aimed at “justifying aggression and incitement against Palestinian camps.”
The movement added that the targeted site was an open sports field frequented by boys from the camp, and that the dead and injured were “the boys who were there”, according to the movement.
The movement confirmed that “there are no military installations inside Palestinian camps in Lebanon,” holding Israel “fully responsible for the crime” against Palestinians and the Lebanese state.
In this context, Palestinian Liberation Organization factions in the Saida region condemned the attack and considered it a “brutal aggression” targeting civilians inside the camp. The factions announced a general strike and general mourning in the Ain al-Hilweh camp, in addition to the closure of institutions, centers and organizations inside the camp, in protest against the attack.
This escalation comes against a backdrop of growing tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border and continued raids which have targeted various areas in the south of the country in recent weeks.
